1.) go to the installation directory of Acrobat (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat)

2.) Look for the file "Adobe.Acrobat.Dependencies.manifest"

3.) Open it and delete the line <file name="atl.dll" />

4.) Reboot your machine after saving that file

Client has HP MediaSmart Server EX487; I believe this will work for other models such as the EX485 as well.

The Health Indicator was flashing 2 aqua and 3 red flashes over and over.  HP's document here (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01586243&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3855979) shows that this problem is described by "BIOS recovery source not present."

Of course in true HP fashion of not properly supporting their products, the solution is to "Contact HP Support at http://www.hp.com/support ."  Since this product was out of warranty, there was no way to get additional support without calling and possibly paying.

I backed up the drives individually and then with the drives out, I used the reset button to put the machine into setup mode.  I powered it off, held down the reset button on the front, then powered it back on.  Then, I put the drives in.  Then I did the same process - powered off, held down reset, powered on.  The machine booted and came online!
